Garage Support Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for a Garage Support Assistant in Stamford Brook Garage reporting to Staff Manager. The successful Garage Support Assistant will join our administration team and provide comprehensive administrative support to managerial staff.

Key responsibilities:
• Answering telephones and dealing with all enquiries from staff and the public, including and dealing with calls on behalf of the management team
• Attending meetings and taking notes for managers including disciplinary and grievance hearings
• Dealing with lost property
• Support other Garage Support Assistants with public complaints, lost mileage recording and other tasks
• Data entry onto databases and systems
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
• Stationery ordering and office equipment maintenance
• Raising purchase orders
• Adhere to and promote compliance with the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Admin support to Garage Risk Manager for accident data and reporting
• Provide admin support for payroll and cash handling tasks
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:
• Proven experience of working in a busy administrative environment
• Excellent customer service
• Good communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage and prioritise your workload.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Sound IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel).

Knowledge of garage administration and health and safety policies and procedures is an advantage but this is not essential. If you are proactive, professional and keen to develop your administration skills then this is the role for you.

Claims Support-Garage Support Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Support GSA at Edgware and Harrow. Your main responsibility will be to provide administrative support to the Accident Investigation team and assist in the effective management of the claims process. To truly succeed in this role you will also proactively seek effective measures that will reduce the costs of claims, which will in turn make a positive contribution to the profitability of the company.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Acting as the first point of contact for new claims, taking accurate details from third parties, ensuring an investigation takes place and monitoring the time scale of investigations
• Reviewing and examining the accuracy of accident reporting from the garages
• Dealing with lost property including TfL & the public
• Support other GSA’s with public complaints, lost mileage recording and other tasks
• Data entry onto databases and systems including the HR system
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing post, distribution and deliveries
• Provide admin support for payroll and cash handling tasks
• Adhere to and promote compliance with the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures
• Monitoring and maintaining the recovery process and keeping accurate statistics on recoveries sent direct to the third party and claims handlers, and payments received.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Be highly organised with excellent time management skills
• Have a high level of computer literacy and competency in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Have a high level of attention to detail
